The History of the Light Bulb

            The history of the light bulb is short and sweet. Not much to learn, not a lot to remember. The first light bulb was invented by English scientist, Humphry Davy, in 1800. The parts of an incandescent light bulb include:

1. The Globe
2. The Filament
3. The Wires and a Stem
4. Invisible Gases
5. The Base
6. Ohm’s Law of Electricity

            Georg Ohm’s mathematical equation for the correct use of electricity in circuits was published in 1827.
            As light bulbs have evolved, their appearance has obviously changed. When light bulbs were first being produced they were quite large. As time has gone by, the light bulb’s design has changed. Modern light bulbs have reduced in size, greatly.
